Health Centre facility with attached inpatient ward is available at MIT campus. It is located in the Hostel zone for the convenience of hostellers. All students and teaching and non teaching staff of Anna University in MIT Campus including members in other campuses of Anna university and their dependents are eligible to avail the services of health centre. The health centre is committed to provide quality treatment services at free of cost. The Centre is headed by Dr. M. Rajmohan as Director and Dr.V.P.Jayachitra is the Deputy Director officiating in MIT campus. The Centre provides outpatient treatment from morning 10.00 AM to evening 6.00 PM. The emergency cases are treated as inpatients.

Key OBJECTIVES

  1. To provide free medical service to students, staff and their family thereby creating a healthy and happy campus life for all.
  2. To offer consultation and treatment in selected medical specialties.
  3. To ensure immediate first aid and transportation for any medical emergency.
  4. To organize medical camps periodically to provide health education.

SPECIALIST CONSULTANCY FACILITY

Health Centre at MIT campuses provide speciality consultancies for the benefit of all students / staff once in a week. About 200 patients visit the Health Centre every day for treatment. Physiotherapy clinic is functioning from Monday to Friday between 2.00 am and 6.00 pm.
