The MIT Health Centre conducted an orientation program for first-year circuit branch students at Hanger II. The deputy director highlighted the comprehensive services offered by the Health Centre on the MIT Campus, including general medical, paraclinical, specialty care, and emergency ambulance services. Additionally, the medical officer presented a health care awareness presentation focusing on maintaining good physical and mental health. MIT Health Centre, in collaboration with Govt. Hospital- Chromepet, organized a Blood Donation Camp on September 12, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Health Centre on the MIT campus. The event aimed to save lives and replenish blood supplies, supporting emergency care and medical treatments.
The MIT Health Centre took proactive measures to prevent the spread of acute diarrhea diseases through an Epidemic Prevention Program. Medical officers of MIT health centre Dr. C. Subramanian and Dr. N. Lalitha addressed the epidemic diseases and emphasized preventive measures for food handlers and preparation workers across the MIT campus. Medicines were distributed to all mess and canteen workers, ensuring comprehensive protection within the MIT community.
The MIT Health Centre organized a Cancer Awareness Talk led by Dr. N. Lalitha. The Medical Officer, highlighted the importance of Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Camps for women aged 30-55. Emphasizing early detection through regular screenings, she addressed approximately 31 women. Their active participation showcased a growing awareness of women's healthcare. Dr. Lalitha's insights shed light on preventive measures against breast and cervical cancers, urging women to prioritize their well-being. This event, organized by MIT Health Centre in association with Centre for women empowerment, aimed to educate and empower women, advocating for regular screenings to promote early detection and a healthier community.

Dr. Prameela emphasized the importance of Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Camps for women aged 30-55. Her talk stressed early detection through regular screenings and empowerment in women's health. Around 30 women attended, signalling increased awareness in women's healthcare. Dr. Prameela's insightful talk shed light on the preventive measures against breast and cervical cancers, encouraging women to prioritize their well-being.
The event served as a platform to educate and inspire women to prioritize regular screenings for early detection and timely intervention, ultimately promoting a healthier community.
The MIT Health Centre, along with the Centre for Empowerment of Women, organized a free "Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Camp" in association with the Adyar Cancer Institute. It was aimed at women aged 30 to 55 years oldGroup at free of cost (Women on temporary/daily wages/janitor category). The event Held at the Health centre, MIT campus, 37 women benefited from the screenings. The camp provided crucial tests to detect breast and cervical cancers early. The goal was to make healthcare accessible to all women in this age group.
Trained medical staff from Adyar Cancer Institute conducted the screenings. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular cancer screenings. This collaboration showed a commitment to women's health. By offering these services for free, we ensured that every woman had a chance to get checked.
